A good las vegas catering company provides food samples, photos and references. This is what to ask for when you meet with them for the first time. Some catering companies also specialize. Ask them if they can do a certain type of food you are thinking of themselves, like thai or italian etc, or will they need to outsource? Ideally, your las vegas catering company can handle the food and cake all at once.
But beyond the aesthetics, and good will there are some practical common sense things you should check after you meet with your potential Las Vegas Caterer.
1. Check them out with the Better Business Bureau, if they are a member. If they are not a member this should not prevent you from hiring them. Instead check their references, and ask the reference for a friend who went to their event for an even more unbiased report.
2. Make sure the Las Vegas Caterer is licensed and insured. This is a must and no way to get around this. Things happen and you must protect yourself from your own guest. This is just a fact of life.
3. If you have selected a venue with the caterer - always walk through it together to get an idea of what the space is going to look like and be used for. And ask for pictures of past events if the caterer has used this venue before, so you can see what they have done with the space. |
